About Me
My name is Edward Akanyeti, but the world knows me as Dosted Gennah. To my people and in our local dialogue, you can call me Denkyɛm Ba the Son of a Crocodile.
I am a proud son of the Upper East Region, hailing from Wiaga and Sandema in the Builsa District. While those are my roots, my character was forged in the streets of Accra. Growing up in a family of hardship , I didn’t have one fixed place to call home; instead, I had the whole city.
The Journey Through Accra
I moved from neighborhood to neighborhood, living everywhere from Labaadi, 37 El-Wak, Nsawam, Dobro, and Nsumia, to Lapaz, Ablekuma, Dzowulu, and Ashongman Estate.
I truly started building my foundation and my music fanbase in Accra New Town (Raco Down). My life has been a constant journey between Accra New Town, Nima, Maamobi, Kanda, Zongo, Ashaiman, Kasoa, Adenta, and East Legon. Because I lived in so many places, I made friends and family in every corner. Those connections make it easy for me to always connect with everyone, I am a product of the people.
